My name is Gabie and I am the writer behind Gabie and Kids. I am a single mother of two sets of twins and a survivor of domestic violence.
I previously had another blog, “FromtheFrontline.com”, where I wrote about life as a military spouse with twins. There I provided resources to the moms in the military spouse community. I also wrote an article for Multiplicity, an online magazine for parents of multiples. You can find my article in the Multiplicity’s Winter 2012 issue, titled “How to Survive a Military Deployment: With Multiples.”
I also spent two years volunteering, one year as a Key Caller and another year as a Family Readiness Group Leader. In those volunteer roles, I was responsible for referring families to military resources and I was awarded twice for my volunteerism.
After 5 long years, my marriage ended and with it, my old blog.
I am now beginning my life and blog over, but my focus remains the same, to reach out to women and provide resources. Whether these women are single mothers, married mothers, mothers of multiples, or survivors of domestic violence. My goal is to not only provide resources but to motivate fellow Moms! I have a column where I do exactly that at MamiofMultiples.com, which is among the nation’s top leading Hispanic Mom blogs. There I write a weekly column called “Motivational Mami.”

It is important that the body survives, but it is more meaningful that the human spirit prevails.”
